TUTU
SYNOPSIS:
Osei Tutu, an heir to the stool of Kwaman, has been sent to Denkyira to serve. His actions in the royal court causes his paths to cross with Okomfo Anokye. Okomfo Anokye, a young and exuberant traditional priest, finds favor in the eyes of the Denkyira royal family. This infuriates the local traditional chiefs. They get revenge by murdering his mother. Devastated, Okomfo Anokye sets out to create an alliance strong enough to overthrow the ruling Denkyira kingdom. It is here that he teams up with Osei Tutu. Tutu’s thoughtful and pragmatic nature balances out Anokye’s ambition and exuberance. The Prince and the magician embark on an epic adventure to unite weak, splintered clans, giving them a new identity and a common goal. This new alliance gives way for the fight for their independence from the powerful Denkyira kingdom. They win, establishing the powerful Ashanti Kingdom that has existed since the 17th century.
