A real dancer cannot stand still
Since the end of the 1980s, many dancers have left Senegal to find a better life in Europe. A majority of them are men, but a few women like Hélène also manage to pursue their careers on this side of the Mediterranean. Through words and moves, Hélène recounts how she overcame the hardships of migration, and built her "fighter" mentality. Alone, with her friends or her students, she progresses in the stages of her dancer life, and shares her irrepressible need to dance.
